So I went to a flea market today because a friend of mine had a stand there - and I just wanted to say hi. But then I saw this big box filled with Billed Bladet (which basically is the Danish equivalent to Picturegoer and Photoplay) … and all of a sudden I realised that I had been standing there for 50 minutes, browsing through all of the 40’s and 50’s editions. I left with 13 magazines and a book.

I can’t believe I won’t see your lovely red-head around the pickle factory anymore! Just want you to know that I, for one, will miss you. I know you’ll be much happier wherever you go—whatever you do! God Bless You, Van.
Good-bye letter Greer Garson received from Van Johnson when she left MGM in 1954.
